The short version

This website is mainly an information resource. It has no user accounts and no login. A few pages carry optional forms, the second opinion page and the international patient pages, where you can send us your name, contact details, and a short description of your problem. Those forms, together with email and WhatsApp, are the only ways this site collects personal information, and you share it only if you choose to contact us. Everything else is anonymous visit measurement through Google Analytics.

What our forms collect

When you use the second opinion form or an international enquiry form, we ask for your name, email address, phone number, the country you are contacting us from (on the international forms), the nature of your case, and a brief description of your condition and any previous treatment. Please share only what is needed to answer your question. The forms also record a few technical details, such as how you reached the page, which help us understand which information is useful.

These forms are handled by Formspree, a third-party form service that receives your submission and passes it to Dr. Vishnu's practice by email. What you send is read by Dr. Vishnu and his practice team. It is not shared with anyone else and is not added to any marketing list. Because Formspree, our email provider, and Google run their own servers, some of this information may be processed on servers outside India.

Scans, reports, and medical information

Scans, X-rays, and reports are shared separately, by email or on WhatsApp, and are not stored on this website. Anything you send us, whether a form entry, an email, or a WhatsApp message, is used only to answer your question or to plan your care, and is treated with the same confidentiality as any clinical consultation. If you go on to be treated at Aster MIMS Hospital, Kannur, your records there are held by the hospital under its own privacy policy.

WhatsApp, email, and booking

WhatsApp messages are delivered through WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms. Email sent to our addresses, such as contact@ or [email protected], is read by Dr. Vishnu's practice and is not shared or used for marketing. Appointment booking itself happens on Aster Hospitals' own website, which has its own privacy policy.

What is measured

This site uses Google Analytics (GA4) and, on a small number of pages, Google Ads measurement. These tools use cookies to count visits and understand which pages are useful: for example, how many people viewed the booking page or clicked the WhatsApp button. The data is aggregated and does not identify you to us personally. You can read how Google handles this data in the Google Privacy Policy, and you can block these cookies in your browser settings without losing access to anything on this site.

The site search (on the blog and research pages) runs entirely in your browser. Your search terms never leave your device.

How long we keep your information

We keep form submissions, emails, and messages only as long as needed to respond to you and, where relevant, to provide the opinion or care you asked for. After that they are deleted, or, if you become a patient, kept as part of your medical record. You can ask us to delete anything you have sent at any time.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete anything you have sent. Write to [email protected] and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you can raise it with us first, and then with the Data Protection Board of India.

Not for emergencies

Please do not use these forms, email, or WhatsApp for a medical emergency. They are not monitored around the clock. Changes
